The suit looks cool, and Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Shame I didn't laugh once!

Well, I won't see that in the theater, but I'll definitely watch it on HBO or whatever.

Yeah, considering that the likely audience for that film will likely spend the entire thing shouting and laughing, I'll probably give it a pass in the theater, as well. Except possibly for a midnight viewing. We'll see. I'll definitely be keeping an ear out for reviews for mentions of whether or not the reviewer was able to even hear the majority of the thing.

I like Ryan Reynolds. Little eyebrow girl had a pretty impressive power.
Since I have no expectations of any comic book character, I can enjoy these kinds of movies for being just fun.

Yeah the trailer doesn't have any of the better comedy in it but more than that the trailer makes the character come across as too "try hard" and the film doesn't give off that impression. He's relentless and consistent in his snark. It's self aware as any Deadpool adaptation should be and it's a lot of fun. I have a very low threshold for puerile humor for the sake of it but this is much smarter than the trailer gives it any credit for. It just works. Well worth watching.

And the love story was genuinely romantic and surprisingly believable. I was expecting dumb action and dumb jokes, with a dumb story, but it was way more relatable and clever than most of Marvels films, however enjoyable they might be. And I came out of it really liking Ryan Reynolds.

I watched it today. It was good. You've got to give Ryan Reynolds credit for really pushing to get it made and playing Wade perfectly. The humour was mostly good and very fast. If there was a joke that wasn't funny it didn't matter because another joke came a few seconds later. It didn't linger on anything. Colossus looked cool and I liked how they did him a way Bryan "BLACK LEATHER" Singer would never do. Negasonic Teenage Warhead was cute.

It did feel a bit short though. Like it was missing an action scene in the middle or something. And I felt it could have gone further in subverting the genre and breaking the fourth wall. I would have likd more lines like the "McAvoy or Stewart?" and the bit about them only being able to afford two X-Men.

And the villain was shit and felt like he belonged in a bad Jason Statham movie. Everyone complains about Marvel villains but at least they're played by good actors. This guy isn't even the best actor to have played Daario Naharis.

So I bought it on iTunes (with Extras. After having pirated it. Suck it, nannies!)

Awesome film. I agree with the Wackston on all points except re: Francis. He seemed well played as the remarkably put-upon but patient modern analogue to Victor Frankenstein. (Chew on THAT! HA!)

There was a few more 4th wall stuff, some of it not even from Wade.

Why don't you go see that guy over there, might advance the plot.
