Decisions, Decisions...

If you don't know, now ya know
Do I go with the Ping G2 Driver:

Or the MacGregor MacTec NVG:

The MacTec has the slightly higher degree of loft I need to get the ball up in the air quickly, but the Ping has been described as "scary long". Both can be had for around $200. Hmmm...I'll have to demo both.

Of course, if I had unlimited funds I'd buy the Taylor Made R7 Quad HT, with removable weights:

But $499 is way too much for a stinkin' driver!

The Nike Sasquatch looks promising:

But it's too new for reviews, and I am sure the price will drop by $100 in eight or nine months.

Looks like I'll be demo-ing the MacTec & Ping G2 this weekend!

Well, I ordered the MacTec. Based on the reviews, it's the better club for my game. No doubt the Ping is an awesome driver, but, as any golfer will tell you, you gotta find the right club for your individual game.

Hopefully, I'll have it before the end of next week!

I have a green golf bag I picked up from Goodwill in NC that I store all my electrical tape and PVC lightsabers in.

That's about the closest I've been to golf in ages.

I just re-ignited my passion for the game this year. I'd had a three or four year layoff due to job & family comittments, but now I'm back, and my game is steadily improving. I've been shaving 5-6 strokes off my score every Sunday for the last three weeks.

LOOKOUT TIGER!!!!!!!!!!!!*

That thing was supposed to be smiling godamn smileys.

BDM first read that as "now I'm black" and I thought - is this a Tiger Woods thing?

I tuned out for a few years and was quite startled to see John Dalys big mug on tvs and mags. Wasn't he a hair from jail a handfull of years ago?

Golf is pretty damn fun. I live pretty close to a decent course, but the wife hates it, so I haven't ponied up the funds to go do it.

Maybe next year.

Close. New Mexico.

Hmmm...never looked into golfing in New Mexico, I'll have to check it out. I know for a fact that Arizona has some spectacular, spectacular courses. I assume NM has some excellent desert courses as well.

^ LOL. Yeah, I don't think NM is considered a 'must-golf' state!
I lived about 45 minutes away from Pinehurst, NC, a couple years ago. Now THAT was a course! (No, I never played, but it was gorgeous.)
There are some decent courses out here, but you're right, AZ's got some good ones.
