Dexter 407: Slack Tide

Dual

RIP Karl 1991-2014
Some parts of this episode were a bit unusual (pacing primarily) but I enjoyed it. It's obviously a lead up to next week, which from the preview looks to be good.
Props to the show for Trinity's breakdown after hitting the deer. He's clearly compartmentalised the two sides of his personality; the writers have been doing a great job exploring Trinity's psychology, and John Lithgow's been great. Dexter murdering the innocent photographer might mark a watershed for the character; next week's preview suggests that he's going to bond with Trinity over it, maybe get taken under his wing. LaWarthoga and Batista had little screen time in this episode, thank goodness.
