Remember how the guy from the first Spider-Man didn't REALLY kill Uncle Ben and it was actually The Sandman. That was fucking stupid

One of many fucking stupid parts of Spiderman 3. Why the need to link Sandman to Ben's killing in any way at all? Why cast Topher Grace as Eddie Brock? Why give up so much time to Sandman in the first place? Why have Peter Parker act like an emo and do some silly dancing to show how evil the symbiote is?
It smacked of a movie that was so overwritten because studio execs wanted as much as possible crammed into it for marketing purposes. It made Sam Raimi look like a chump, which every movie fan knows he isn't.
