Do deaf people really know what inspirational music sounds like?

Have they been deaf their whole life?

The majority have, yes. I've always found it odd that we have to bracket stuff like "inspirational music playing," or "theme to Rocky playing" when they haven't a clue what that is.

It would all depend on when they went deaf.

Yeah, if I suddenly went deaf I'd want to be informed if Eye of the Tiger or Hoppipolla were being played.

No, no...I understand that. Sometimes it just seems odd that I'm bracketing "easy listening music playing."

Pay me no mind. I've got a busted blood vessel in my eye and I can't see the fucking football game (even though I don't need to) but my eye is bothering the shit out of me.

I'm a whiny bitch lately.

I once borrowed a "for deaf people" copy of A New Hope from the Library and whenever R2 made any vocal sounds, bright # marks flashed all over the screen in different colours.

That does not seem that helpfull...

You'd suspect you had a migraine coming on.

Instead of "inspirational music playing" you should substitute it with "menacing death metal playing" now and then.

Or "R2 beeping".

No but isn't that why you put the little musical notes next to the words "Inspirational music plays"???

When I was in high school our school band played in a Christmas parade at the California School for the Deaf. How fucked up is that?

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

Who's idea was that?

Satan's.

Maybe they enjoyed watching the pained expressions on the trombonists face?

Wishing the could blow like that.
