I hate to actually break done and buy Tivo. TV Stations should work around me damn it !

Anyway, I heard you had to pay a monthly fee. No way am I doing that. DirecTv is already like 60 bucks a month. So will Tivo work if its not connected to the phone and dialing home ? Not sure how that works anyway.

A better question, Is there any way to hack Tivo into thinking its communicating home ?
