Gagh said:I have over 400 DVDs, a 32 inch flat-screen TV, but a dirt-cheap player. I use a little-known model called a DK DVD-367. It's small, reliable, plays practically anything I shove in it, scratched to hell or not, and I reckon I could stand on it and it would survive.
As an appliance that gets a great deal of battering, I can't justify plugging a wad into an expensive DVD Player. Sound quality is mostly down to what you shove in the back of it, and picture quality largely down to the TV.
