Do you participate in outdoor sports?

I'm excited. Got my new bike the other day and going on a ride with a new group tomorrow. A little concerned that we're going in the afternoon when today it was super hot. Going to take lots of water, though. I'm going to do this!

Here's my new bike (need to work on getting it on the rack thing better) -

LOL that thing have any forward speeds? Don't forget your helmet.

We bike, hike, swim, play tennis, volleyball. I fish all 4 seasons and bow hunt in November. I just took up golf for the first time this summer, baseball, touch football, soccer. I've tried rock climbing but I get vertigo.

It is a cruiser - exactly what I want. It is just for riding around the neighborhood and the park for fun and exercise. My days of bike marathons are long over and I have no need for speed anymore. Got a helmet. It isn't required by law here to wear one but it makes good sense.

What made you decide to take up golf? Do you like it? Is it expensive?

There's too much civility between E and jack in here.

*splashes thread with a bucket of pig's blood*

*walks back out*

I didn't think I'd like it, but a couple of people I really wanted to talk to about business stuff were going and invited me and it was pointed out to me this was where certain people conducted business, so I went.

Turns out I'm a natural at it. Not very good, but occasionally can connect "just so" and the result is really fun. The whole "pock" when you hit the sweet spot and the way the ball travels, it's very entertaining. Putting is a witch, but that's part of learning the skill.

It's not expensive around here, a membership to all three courses is around 400 dollars if you're a local and they're VERY nice courses. A friend gave me his extra set of clubs when I was talking about getting into it. so far not so expensive. I think I like it. Driving range practice is fun too.

I was just teasing about the bike, it actually looks very cool for a cruiser. We have a 5.5 mile paved and marked bike path in our area, but the way the village is laid out you can get good exercise on a bike and really have a good time too. Happy riding.

I'm about to load up the bike and take off. Today's ride is a two parter, 11 miles each part. I do 14-15 miles on the elliptical in about 1/2 an hour fairly regularly so hopefully I'll be able to do this ride in about an hour plus the time for the break in between the parts. It is going to get up to about 100 today - hopefully there will be some shade over the bike paths.

I'm excited. See you later.

Dont forget your water :D Hope you have fun. I never measure my elliptical miles, have to check that out next time.

Is sex in the woods an outdoor sport? If yes, then yeah, I participate.

Sometimes a walk is just a walk to me, or a hike is a hike. But then he wants to pull my shirt up and suck on my nipples in the outdoors.

And I love those bikes! We got my mom one. I rode it and it was just so much fun.

You couldn't just say "I like to fuck in the woods too" and let my imagination do the rest? :P

I like to fuck in the woods too.

/obedient ; )

Or propped against a very large boulder, singing of birds abounding, a redtailed hawk sailing high above ground. warm sun filtering down, caressing writhing bodies. . .

say, I got a little carried away there. . .must be those pictures Jack posted on TKR. Feeling a little, uh, warm. . .:yoohoo:

^Reminds me of a scene out of the old classic "Pink Lagoon". Love child, naked and ass up, bent over a large boulder on a tropical island...................

Ok - I stand corrected. I have been informed that the machine I was calling the elliptical is a recumbent bike. The other thing, that I call a stryder, is actually the elliptical - and I don't use it - makes me a little sea sick. Thank God, the thing I call my treadmill is definitely my treadmill. One of my living rooms looks like a gym.

Im on a calorie burning mission for my new workout regime. 20 mins each on the treadmill, elliptical and stationary bike, interspersed with 2 sets of weights and a set of abs at the end. My goal is to burn 750 or more calories per workout. Now that I'm off the Plavix my blood is thicker so my weight started to go up almost immediately. :D

Plavix is a weird drug. I've been off it for a week after being on it for a year and I was sort of like a hemophiliac while on it. Bruised very easily, always looked like something had hit me very hard. Plus it seems there were mental states I was in that I no longer am in. I just finished reading about some of the side effects of that stuff and I'm a little surprised. But it worked for it's purpose, I just didn't know blood thinners could have such a pronounced brain impact (forgetfulness, distortion/confusion, bad moods).

Nice to be off it.

Wow - that is some work out plan! I pretty much stay at about an hour of something - aqua aerobics some days, yoga class on others, now the bicycle, and have the machines for the days I'm not out doing something else. Never an excuse to not do some kind of exercise every day. Plus, I spend a lot of time working in the mini-forest.

Never been on Plavix but can certainly appreciate being off the meds. I've been off all of the ones I used to take for nearly eight months now and I feel better than I have in decades.

Why'd you go off Plavix? Did your doc put you on something else?
