Doctor Who

Hambil

I AM A GOLDEN GOD
What's the the revolving cast door???

And I hear they aren't even gonna end the season on Roses death but will have a couple shows with her replacement in them - some black chick I already don't like (she better be hot).

Don't the British watch American tv? It's not like they have to make this up from scratch.

^^Yeah, I posted about her departure last week in the media center.

I've downloaded up to this season's penultimate episode; the season finale should be available by tomorrow night. I guess I'll know by then.

So far I've watched through and including "Love and Monsters". See my various reviews in the Media Center.

I am predisposed to NOT like the new chick also. However, I said that about Tennant, and now I like him better than Eccleston, no small feat.

My problem is they setup Rose and the Doctor to be some great romance, and now pffft.

Welll...it's more implied than anything. I mean, they've never even kissed.

Damn, Billie Piper would be so hot, if it weren't for her huge teeth.

He died so she could have her father back. He DIED for that. 900 years old and he DIED for THAT. Tell me he doesn't love her...

Look at the history of Doctor Who as a whole, it was never about constant actors, either the doctor or his companions, they never stayed forever.

The show goes on, and if the new girl has big tats, people will warm to her

That's because it was on for 30 years. American shows run 5 or 6. We expect things to stay stable. You run a big chance everytime you change actors/actresses. It may not matter to the Brits, but you don't want to lose your American audience. British TV is on the verge of something big here. I see a future where there is an equal battle between British and American TV and we all benifit.

24 has had a different supporting cast every year hasnt it?

NYPD blue, lots of cast changes.

Huh? What episode was that? It must be one I've not seen yet, I still need to see "Fear Her", "Army of Ghosts" and the finale.

Not to mention, the longest running drama on television, Law & Order, has had more cast changes than Doctor Who.

Those are ensemble shows, Doctor Who is not. Also, Kiefer Sutherland and Dennis Franz never left.

Fathers day, tecnically the doctor had a death, with no regeneration, that was reset at the end when the timeline was restored.

Eccleston, not Tennent.
