Dr. Riddler?

It's rumored that David Tennant has expressed interest in, and has been talked about playing the role of The Riddler in the next of the Christopher Nolan Batman movies.

Anyone got some good links to back this up?

Yeah, but the links that google turns up are a lot of hearsay. I was wondering if the sci-fi folks with their ear to the ground had better links than what I found via google.

Fuck catwoman. The Riddler, if done right, is a spectacular villain. Just as dark and twisted as Ledger's Joker. I really think that Ledger set a great bar as far as modern adaptations on comic villains. If anyone could pull off a great performance of a dark, modern Riddler, it would be Tennant. Take a look at The Waters of Mars, and how he gets really dark about being able to control time. He gets really megalomaniacal.
