Dunatics, trolls, here's a site that suffers from overmoderation!

The main mod is related to Frank Herbert, author of the Dune series. That in itself is good, perhaps, except that he mods with a heavy hand, especially anything critical of Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, the co-authors of Dune Prequels.

Having read Kevin J Anderson's Star Wars Jedi Academy Trilogy, I think he's a hack (especially when Michael Stackpole retold the trilogy in I, Jedi and did a better job of it whilst focusing on an entirely seperate character!), so anything critical of KJA is a good thing, IMO.

Admittedly, I was bored with the beginning and skipped to (approximately) page 300... which is when the real meat of the book began... which is what I've been waiting over 20 years to read... to see what "Uncle Frank's" final vision was... may the Lord rest his soul now!

pretty sad when you have to skip 300 pages of a book.

OH and one more thing. Byron joined a Dune fansite so he could spy and kinda vaguely threatened the owner because one of the members had this image as an avatar. Said it was threatening to Brian Herbert and KJA.

I've only read 2 or 3 ove the originals, which I loved; and none of the new ones.
