Earth's last uncontacted tribes firing bows and arrows

Skin painted bright red, heads partially shaved, arrows drawn back in the longbows and aimed square at the aircraft buzzing overhead. The gesture is unmistakable: Stay Away.

For thousands of years these people have been born, lived, and died in that one place, and never even knew there was a hell!

But soon, Struthers and her "relief act" will give them clothes, guns, jesus, and a reason to start a prolonged war with their neighboring tribe.

Prime Directive people, prime directive. Star Trek's where it's at.

I think there is something fishy there. The articles say these people have been pushed to the edge of their area of habitation because of the forest diminishing from illegal loggers. Aren't the illegal loggers people? Surely the tribes have seen the loggers. So, while they may not be friends, I somehow doubt that the tribes people are "uncontacted."

Now, if I were one of those people living in those crude huts without all the marvelous wonderous modern conveniences, technology, gadgets and such, I'd like for someone to contact me and introduce me to all the goodies and let me make up mind for myself whether or not I want them.

Yep.

It's the conservative way. Introduce them to society and technology so you can get them hooked and then pick their pockets dry.

LOL - well, dearest, I'm sure one of those tribespeople would be happy to change places with you and the balance of with and without will be maintained.

Sweetheart, I'm doing just fine. But unlike the conservatives, I'm concerned about the people around me that may not be. ;)

I think there's something fishy here, too. First of all, the guy who wrote the article has a name that sounds like a Jew's. Second of all, there's no way there ain't people who haven't been introduced

Any knowledgeable person knows that every single tribe and/or group of people or person know what a helicopter is. And there's no way that these people haven't seen loggers.

Fucking democrats are inventing made-up indigenous people now.

You, someone who has lived her entire life surrounded by said goods, says so. Let's do it. While we're at it, let's introduce them to communism, and ask them if they'd like to see every sovereign government overthrown.

I don't believe that to be true.

I firmly believe that if you teach a person how to do something you give them something of value that will help them rise above their situation.

I also firmly believe that when you give a person just enough to exist, society's cast offs and left overs, then you are keeping that person in their situation.

Also, being concerned isn't much of an action in actually alleviating the plight if those not doing so well.

I believe it's corporate Americas responsibility to put people above gross profit. Take care of the people that put you on the map.

Concern is but a step in the right direction, true. But for action, there needs to be concern. And "conservative" America and corporate American can't seem to take that first step.

What a collectivist. You are bereft of knowledge of the concept of Capitalism and its importance.

A shark will always seek meat. If it stops hunting, it will die. Capitalism is the acknowledgment of this basic fact of life, something very applicable to humans. Social order must be organized to accommodate it, because it's not going away unless you engineer humans to be something different. A properly organized system of Capitalism wouldn't permit such monopolies to exist, and the big oil execs clap with glee when someone like you posts that the laws of nature of inherently flawed, because it draws attention away from the fact that real competition spells the death of their stranglehold and further solidifies their position as the sole distributors. They'll hold the same positions, but with different, 'humane' regulations that some believe will magically eliminate greed.

The statement that you believe corporate America should put responsibility towards people above profit is laughable. If they didn't put profits above humanity, they wouldn't survive in the face of other organizations that did. Those companies that put social well-being before profits are now gone.

You must be fucking 40 or 50 years old, and you seriously post something like that. I stopped believing in fairy tales when I was 10 years old. What's the excuse of people of your generation of Americans towards being so fucking dumb? Fluoride in the fucking water?

Quit misinterpreting.

I said they need to put people above GROSS profit.

I have no problem with capitalism, I have no problem with someone making money from a product or ideal. But when it gets to the point that a company's profits are grossly inflated and that company's employees are scraping by for a living because of poor wages and out of control medical costs due to some corporate fat cat stuffing his pockets, there's a problem.

And that's what "conservative" America has set us up for.

The same applies. The only way you are going to get them to surrender their legally earned profits is by changing the law. Corporate America has no need to give away anything it makes to anyone unless its staring down the barrel of a Soviet rifle.

You apparently don't have enough understanding of Capitalism to support or oppose it. You claim to have no problem with capitalism, to a point, which is inherently bullshit, because it's either present in whole or not at all. When the company's gross profits are inflated beyond what they really make, they will eventually go bankrupt.

Fuck the poor employee. He should find another job. If all the abused company employees are scraping by for a living due to poor wages and shitty insurance, the company which grants them better circumstances will get their labor, and will thus earn more profits. Pretty soon, the initial offending company will be out of business.

In any case, the corporation has no obligation do provide anything for its employees outside of their contract. If the contract isn't satisfactory, the employees should not accept it. You can raid the treasury of the offending company when they don't provide full dental, but don't pretend that you support real Capitalism while you do it.

Regardless of your stance on capitalism and such, if you ever see me in the jungle, head half shaved, mostly naked, skin painted black or some bright color, apparently living in a grass shack without indoor plumbing and electricity, then I have been kidnapped or in an accident. Please rescue me and get me to a full-service hotel ASAP.

Thanks in advance.

Another innocent thread raped, and transformed into a big fat box of pseudo intellectual babble about Capitalism,The fatality of the modern world, and other things hardly anyone cares about.

CONGRATULATIONS

Personally, I have no idea how to live in a country that is not capitalistic. Where is such a successful model country?

YOU'RE WELCOME. NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I'll never hear the end of this, but Sarek is right. Messenger is right, too, however. Both of them are wrong, as well.

"Fat Cats stuffing their pockets" is an appropriate term for many persons in our government... or any government. Or big business owners who are friends of many people in our government.

Letting your employees starve while you throw away entire family-sized meals is wrong. However, the employees have a right to unionize and demand fair wages. But, that's where the problem comes in. The union might get to thinking that they are too powerful and start demanding unfairly high wages that the execs can't provide. Either two of those extremes are utter business failures. What is needed is a balance. And THAT is capitalism. Where every man watches out for three things. Profit, Life, Happiness.

Please show me where this Capitalism is being implemented?

You've obviously never heard of Jemmy Button.
