Yesss!! Only 20 days until Major League Baseball Opening Day!! I don't count the "phony" Sunday Night opening. It's only 2 teams, and it's a NIGHT GAME ferchrissakes!

I wish I could go to opening day on April 3rd, but it's long been sold out. Plus, if I played hooky that day, everyone in the office would know what's up, since I am a tremendous baseball geek!

Hopefully I'll at least be able to listen to the game, though.

You gonna watch/listen to the Mets on opening day??

We're still on for the 6th of August, in my book.

As long as Pedro's OK, they have a real shot this year. Traschel looks great, and they have picked up many scrappy Latinos from the border over the winter who seem to have a real knack for the game. It should be quite an interesting summer!

Aug 6th still sounds great, I haven't looked into tix for Opening Day but I could simply miss the stop for work on the 7 train that day and keep going until it hits Shea...

^^You wanna know how much of a baseball geek I am? No you don't, it'll scare you, but I'ma tell you anyway.

I collect baseball stuff. Hats, balls, mostly cheap stuff. One of the freebies I collect are pocket schedules. I decided this year that I will try to get a 2006 pocket schedule not only for every major leage baseball team, but every affiliated minor-league team as well. It's been incredibly slow here, so I spent the morning emailing about 20 ballclubs with a request for a pocket schedule. So far, I've gotten CA & The Pacific Northwest done.

There, I admitted it. Be afraid...be very afraid!!
