Eggs: You gonna be there on opening day @the new Stadium??

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
In 2004 the Phillies had three "On Deck" games at the brand spankin' new Citizens Bank Park. They were just the last three Spring Training games, only played in rainy, cold, Philadelphia. I managed to get tix to the first ever baseball game/event at CBP, it was against the Indians of Cleve-land, and I think the Phillies won. I have a cool t-shirt that proclaims that I was at the opening of Citizens Bank Park.

Don't know much about the Mets' new ballpark, but the 2 times I was at Shea Stadium, I actually liked the joint! Any nostalgia, or are you excited for a new ballpark? You gonna try to get tix to the first game? It'll be worth it, believe me!

As for me, I am determined to get tix to the Phillies Home Opener in April 2009. After all, that's when they'll get their World Series rings!

Lots of nostalgia, I went to so many games there as a kid. Great times. Had my first knish there! (I think)

That said, it was kind of a butt-ugly park. Good seats, though.

I hope to get to an early game next season, but I'm sure opening day is already sold out twice over.

I like the "Jackie Robinson Rotunda"...but...um...JR was a BROOKLYN DODGER!

The Mookie Wilson Rotunda just didn't have the same ring to it.

They should build a shrine to Bill Buckner! And where, oh where, is the Tim Tuefel sculpture?

The Bill Buckner Bow-Legged Archway!
