Ok a few points and then I am done here.

I would really like the staff to get a fast method of telling the community about a person's ban. I was banned on the 20th of Feb and the notice took nearly three days to get posted.

Gads....Talk about the wheels of the staff lounge working slowly...3 days to announce a this suspension?? What is it, that staff can't decided who should write the post or how to word the post? That has to be the problem because the rules are clearly written as seen here.

Members who violate the guidelines may be issued a warning for such violations. After three such warnings, earned in any forums, members' posting privileges will be suspended boardwide for one week.

Members may receive one warning between each suspension after the first. The suspension schedule thereafter is as follows:

2nd time: Two Week Suspension
3rd time: One Month Suspension
4th Time: Three Month Suspension
5th Time: Six Month Suspension

Yeah, the argument "only an admin can make an announcement" is bullshit, only in the fact that it takes an admin to ban someone in the first place. If they take the time to ban, then by all rights they should take 30 seconds to post an "indefinate suspension, pending review" message, with an update as appropriate.
 
No it's not BS- the protocol at Ei was that only an admin could make the AQG announcement of a suspension - that has just recently been changed.
 
Complete horseshit. It doesn't take three days to make a thread notifying of someone's suspension. Either the alledged admins are incompetent or...well...

Solipsism is a sin in my book, LoP. If you're stupid, that's one thing...but don't think everyone else is stupid too.
 
I didn't say it should take three days, I said the rule was that an Admin had to make the announcement. I never made a statement regarding the time it took. You've made a career out of reading more things into what I post then are there.

I have no idea why no one else made the post. I was offline during the time and responded immediately when I returned.

Now that I know that previously only an Admin could make suspension post that make a difference.

Look at the list of admins at the EI board

Lover of Purple - is the only admin working the board. They leave everything for him.

Juris Rovvius - Useless as an admin. He wants to be the hot shot owner, calling the shots but does none of the work involved. He is not the only person that has a life, selfish boy.

Orpheus - generally writes only about sofeware issues. Claims to be so busy doing software things, he has no time to be an admin. thus useless as an admin.

Atavus - busy school boy, useless, has no business having an admin title.

Jaimie - useless and doesn't need an admin bar under her name.

Banapis - uesless. Allows his personal opinion to interfer with his judgement calls more than once. He can't be trusted since he lied on the board and can't control his smart ass attitude.

So EI has one admin working the board. I do tip my hat to LoP for carrying the weight of the entire Administrator Staff on his shoulders. They really need to get him some help and get rid of all that dead weight. When will they wise up and get some REAL Administrators to do the jobs.

Things got screwed up with RobL because of one lazy fat ass not doing his job as an admin, he dropped the ball after he applied the ban. Right Lance. Get your board some real people to work and get your ass off the list of admins if your not willing to do finish what you started for cripes sake.

I'm not sure who screwed up G1985 suspension. LoP can only do so much and has to depend on the nitwits to help him. And we all know what the OTurd staff is all about. ESP that stupid dumb with redhead.

A list of 6 people being admins and 4 are useless....
Yeah, that sounds about right for EI
 
I just tried 7 of my accounts there and only 2 have been disabled. I can't be bothered trying the others tonight, I have another board to check into.
I am not surprised that the same crowd is running the new improved slipstream.

What the fuck ever, chucklehead. There's been more than one instance of accounts being suspended followed by a good long time until an announcement is made. This is getting to be a habit, and your excuses are wearing thin.

Guess what? A autistic four-year old could flip the switch on someone and then somehow wander into AQG to post a message about it. Doesn't matter if it's a suspension under review, a suspension for a period of time or a suspension by the thumbs. This shit isn't rocket science, and you and some of your fellow "admins" are crying the same ol' song again.

Wahhh...we've got a life. Wahhhh....stuff takes time. Wahhhh...it's soooo hard to be an EI admin.

Sounds like the EI admin and staff need to get their shit together...that or resign en masse and let someone else step up to the plate.

I'd like you to READ MY FUCKING POST AGAIN

It is an ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION to ban someone. That means an ADMINISTRATOR has to do it. So, why can't the administrator who fliked the switch do the honors of a ban announcement?

Or, likewise, if its an automated feature (which you haven't said it is, but I'm just assuming here for a minute), create an "Autoadmin" account, much like TBBS has, to post a generic "X account has been disabled for getting X warning. Any updates will be posted on by the next avalible admin" or some such.
 
Oh Gosh create something new over there...That will again take Orpheus off of admin duties, so he can write a new program for however long it take to get it to work.
 
Its just an assumption on my part. I know that no "automatic" ban was done in my case - good old Lanciepoo took care of me himself. Plus, I was able to wreck havoc for another 10 min or so before they gave me the boot (as evidenced by my two additional warnings, plus the one they didn't give me in the beach)
 
Yes it was Lance's responsiblity to post the announcment as he is an Administrator, but he doesn't give a crap about his own board.
Its very obvious isn't it.
 
The "proxy" thing is their latest gimic to ban someone without cause. I mean, they can just say "it was a proxy" and everyone falls in line. It doesn't even have to be one, and nobody would know different.

Rov had his staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off because he didn't finish his job after placing a ban. His usual dump and run method, a good quality for a lawyer. But I do find it hysterical that Rov shows so little respect for his own staff.

I really think Rov is the leader of the PUSSY CREW by his actions, doncha think Darwin? Its hard not to agree after seeing what he does....opps more like what he doesn't do...lol
