Aatrek is a child molester.
Aaron P. Nadler's punishment won't end when he finishes a 9- to 23-month prison term for molesting a pre-teen Camp Hill girl he was supposed to be baby-sitting.
He'll also have to keep paying for his victim's ongoing counseling.
Cumberland County President Judge Edgar B. Bayley imposed the county prison sentence on Nadler, 24, of Mechanicsburg, yesterday under a deal Nadler reached when he pleaded guilty to an indecent assault charge in March.
Besides requiring Nadler to pay for counseling for the girl, who is now in her late teens, Bayley ordered him to pay more than $7,000 in other restitution for the harm caused to her.
Nadler apologized before sheriff's deputies handcuffed him and led him away.
The girl and her parents watched from the back of the courtroom, but said nothing.
Senior Assistant District Attorney Christylee Peck said the girl was 8 to 10 years old when the molestation occurred in the late 1990s.
Records show she didn't accuse Nadler of abusing her until last summer.
Nadler was a teenager when the incidents occurred. Peck said the law allowed his prosecution as an adult because the girl didn't make her accusations to authorities until he was an adult.
According to police, Nadler had the girl perform various sex acts. Her parents produced a dozen cancelled checks used to pay him for baby-sitting from 1996-99, authorities said.
Nadler originally faced rape and other sex-related charges, but those were dismissed when he pleaded to the indecent assault count.
