ExIsle watchdog nominations - we need your help!

I'm going to nominate Darthsikle. Does being permabanned make him ineligible I wonder?
 
I believe I have been nominated for the Watchdog Position, both before and after my illegal permaban, more times than anyone else.
 
What the hell is a watchdog ?

Is that like a moderator or something ?

It sounds like some bullshit backstabbing position where you spy on other members and report their every move to the higher ups.

"Here, now that you're a watchdog sit in the chat room and if anyone talks junk about us make a transcript and send it to me."
 
It's a position that's supposed to read the staff lounge and report on any wrongdoings to the masses in order to prevent a second SSBBS. The problem is that they always choose brown nosing retards for the spot.

Just look at Karas/Spidey/Captain Jack.

Although I comprehend and agree with the desire to not have one's staff room turn into a hive of petty gossip, a watchdog is not needed. Whoever runs the board is responsible for the staff lounge. He is the one who has to play the heavy and say "No gossip or dissing the posters in the staff lounge." It's called being the leader. And if the leader fucks up and says something snarky, his or her mods should say, "Hey, hypocrite. Stop it."

It's not difficult. No "special" position is needed. I know, because I'm in the same position and I have to say that shit. And if I slip up, I expect people to yell at me (and they will - happily!)

If people need to bitch about posters, that's why MSN and ICQ are around.

I'm guessing TBonz also voted for President Bush and supports dumping the legislative and judicial branches and just piling all the power into the executive branch. Cause if you can't trust the president who can you trust!

Except for the fact that mod positions are actually chosen by who kisses up to the boss the most. Admin positions doubly so.

So there's not a whole lot of incentive to call the boss out on anything.

Its better to say a watchdog forum is not EFFECTIVE.

Simply put, if you put a spy in the mod forum they'll only talk junk somewhere else. Notice how TBonz was quick to jump in with her MSN suggestion.

I'm not worried about ExIlse slipping to a second SSBBS: It's already become the second EFCL; it can't be both at once!
