The Leftovers' Carrie Coon, twice nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for her role as the complicated Nora Durst in HBO's grim drama, is joining Fargo's third season in a lead role, TVGuide.com has learned. She'll play Eden Valley police chief Gloria Burgle, a practical woman coping with a recent divorce. And we're guessing dark comedy, murder and possibly aliens follow her. Coon joins the previously announced Ewan McGregor in Season 3 of FX's anthology series, which will be set in the relatively modern era of 2010. (Season 1 was set in 2006 and Season 2 was set in 1979.) McGregor will play twin brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy, the former known as the Parking Lot King of Minnesota and the latter blaming all his hardships on his brother.
