My niece is sending me Flat Stanley so I can take him on little adventures and whatnot for her school...

Ye gods...I made this thread when I still up in VA.

Good times, though. Flat Stanley went to a bar, played pool, got his photograph with some bar patrons, then hung out with me at work.

I took him to the yacht club (I trepassed to get the pic, natch), my fave local park where he posed beside some black swans, and the the local Hockey Hall of Fame (which is every fucking town in Canada), and then I sent him to my pal in Toronto - who promptly took him with him to pick up girls at a bar...the grade 2 children of Minneapolis may never be the same....

What's the appeal of taking "him" places?
 
It's just a project for young elementary school kids, so they can get a chance to see parts of the US (or world) that their friends and relatives live in, and then they share it with the other classmates.

Flat Stanley has made appearances on numerous talk shows, like Good Morning America and The Letterman show. Just one of those things here.
