Now I consider myself a Christian. And it bugs me when atheists and the PC get up in everyone's face about manger scenes and Christmas songs. But this is taking it out the other end of the specturm.
Church Members Dress Like Jesus to Protest Secularization of Christmas

Members of a church in Kansas City, Ks., are protesting the secularization of Christmas by dressing like Jesus at their jobs, malls and restaurants.

Pastor Kelly Lohrke advised parishioners of the Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship to wear at minimum a crown of thorns and a sash or robe during the week leading up to Christmas.

"A lot of businesses and people are saying that they have to say, 'Happy Holidays' and 'Season’s Greetings,'" church receptionist Chelsea Johnston told FOXNews.com. "They’re not allowed to say 'Merry Christmas.' It makes us upset because that is the holiday and it goes against our freedom of speech."

The 600-member church posted videos on YouTube of congregants wearing Christ-like garb in public — which they say has led other churches across the country to consider similar demonstrations.

Johnston said some members have gotten more elaborate with their costumes, growing beards and wearing their hair long.

The reactions have been mostly positive, according to Johnston, but the protesters have gotten their share of stares from passersby.

"We have had some really strange looks – people who are like, Why are you guys doing that?" she said. "I haven’t heard any reports of people being offended. ... We've gotten pretty good responses."

You really gotta click the link and check out the pictures. It's bad enough that it is annoying and inflammatory, but to raise awareness of Christmas, they're dressing like the adult Jesus--complete with crown of thorns. Retards. :rolleyes:
 
I'm an atheist and I'm pretty sure both my parents are at the very least agnostic too and still we've celebrated christmas yet again. Every. Single. Year. (except for last year, kinda hard to do when on safari!) Even listened to fucking John Lennon sing a christmas song - I still complained but it's a huge improvement from having to sing ourselves.

I say "Happy Holidays" if I think I'm not gonna see you again until after New Year's Eve and I said "Merry Christmas" to everyone today. Everything else is just fucking bullshit.

What these guys are doing, however, just invites ridicule. :lol: Glad those nutjobs have to hide over here.
 
Weelllll.... they pretty much have to dress like adult Jesus, don't they? To dress like baby Jesus would require them to put on adult diapers. That might get them run in.

The crown of thorns would be more appropriate for holidays associated with the death of Jesus rather than the birth of Jesus.
 
Damn Fox! How'd you pull that off? I wouldn't think you'd be able to tell the costume from just that pic. Really need the skirt and leggings to get the full effect! :lol:

You know the Captain Morgan's ad, where the guys spy out the hot chicks at the costume party and show up in appropriate costumes to pick them up? Same deal. You see a guy at a party dressed as Jesus, macking in a photo with a girl in a white blouse and ponytails and it's a pretty safe bet she's dressed as a Catholic schoolgirl.









Now if someone had only been there dressed as Satan she could've had a spit-roast. :twisted:
