Yeah they removed GameCube backwards compatibility on the newer model Wiis.

I'm sure they'll eventually let you download GameCube games! You know, on the WiiU.

Same here, I got mine from Amazon last September but it has the GC ports. I think it was an older model because it was a package deal that included Wii Mario Kart and the steering wheel.

My vacation sucked. A viewing, a funeral so I was excited when my game arrived in the mail because it was gonna be mindless fun with a new Zelda game. And now I've gotta trade it in for credit for a Wii that has the controller port so won't be able to get to it til the weekend.

Fuck my last day of vacation. Sex didn't even make up for it, despite him trying to cheer me up.
