Game Of Thrones 4.5 'First Of His Name'

It was okay. It felt a bit like filler? Like there were a lot of "two people talking to each other" scenes in the middle and they were pretty good but not essential. What was the point in Sam telling Jon he saw Bran? Didn't they include the bit where he promised Bran he wouldn't tell him? Then Jon doesn't see him anyway and Locke dies mysteriously but they're like "oh well, guess that guy's dead!"

The Sansa/Littlefinger/Lysa stuff was the best part (AND THE ONLY PART THAT WAS FROM THE BOOKS.)

I'm glad the Sand Snakes were mentioned.

HODOR SMASH.

Petyr gave Lysa the DONG. Poor Sansa.

I thought most of this episode felt like filler, too. Or maybe a set up for next week and Tyrion's trial. If we were worried for a moment about Tyrion's fate then maybe it wouldn't seem like filler.

I think I'm glad about the change of Brienne and Pod's story. They are going to be cute together, and GoT needs some fucking humor added back into it.

Pod and Brienne and Arya and The Hound are really fun duos. Their scenes are like grown up versions of Merlin's weekly quest through the woods with Arthur. The Hound has yet to call anyone a clod-pole. :(

It was a very fillery episode, but still entertaining.

I'm glad Gurn Borman's character is dead. I find that actor annoying in everything. He looks like his entire body has been botoxed.

I liked him better last season when he said "you're a BASTARD" or whatever to Craster.

I NEED TO MENTION THAT IT WAS NICE THAT SANSA GOT TO EAT LEMONCAKES THIS WEEK. She should have a castle made out of lemoncakes.

The Hound would call them a "cunt-pole."

I was glad the prince died. I just got caught up in all the episodes tonight. I kinds figured the sister would have a hand in killing her Cat and the Starks. She seemed that fucked up. Peter is creepy.

I also knew the old woman had a hand in killing King Joffrey. I knew she wouldn't let him touch her grand daughter.

I only wished he'd died in the same way in Torchwood.
