Game Of Thrones 5.6 'Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken'

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Arya trains. Jorah and Tyrion run into slavers. Trystane and Myrcella make plans. Jaime and Bronn reach their destination. The Sand Snakes attack.

BUT WHAT HAPPENS TO DON DRAPER?

OMG HELLO MR EKO!

I officially hate the writers for what they've done to Sansa now. This is bullshit.

And the comments on reviews are filling up with people saying it wasn't rape because they were married :rwmad:

The fight scene with the Sand Snakes was kind of weird and confusing. It was funny how they were all "we're experts in our weapons!" then they can't even beat a one armed man.

The Arya scenes were good.

I hope we see the "cock merchant."

It's good that Diana Rigg is back.

So yeah EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS and don't know how much more agency Sansa has in her latest chapters and how she's moved from victim to player, EVEN IF THAT remember how season four ended with Sansa walking down the stairs all confident like she had learned and was ready to become an important strong character...and now she's back to being abused again. In the most horrible way. Like hasn't she been through enough? Why do they need to add actual rape? And I'm not going to say the show should never feature rape, but they don't exactly have a good track record with it after the Jaime/Cersei thing last season.

I mean since we have literally no idea how they will handle her story after the rape scene I'm not willing to judge it as being bad yet because while it was a distressing scene it didn't seem like an out of place thing to happen considering what we know about Ramsey and because I am blessed and have not read the books it wasn't really that jarring to me??

It's definitely something Ramsay would do. I just don't know why they've decided to put Sansa back in a situation where she's a victim AGAIN rather than move her character forward (which they seemed to be doing at the end of seaosn four.)

I mean I guess they're trying to bring her down to a really low point so that when she does get some sort of comeback it's that much more triumphant, but as I said it all depends on how they actually handle that (if that is in fact what they are doing) before I could really say if it was a worthwhile scene or not.

I thought she was supposed to have turned a corner and started to take control of her life and begin to control others (I read as much in an interview with the actress), but it seems we're back to square one. I don't know what she's for as a charCter other than someone to have bad things happen to her over and over. It's frustrating.

I'm not going to quit watching it, but I've lost interest in it... that happened before they raped Sansa tho. Lots of little things have done this.

I'm not so upset about any of it. I also didn't read the books so whatever comes along in the story is not ruined for me. I just take it as it comes.

I fully expected Sansa to be raped by that psychopath. There was no other way that set up was to happen. Now I just hope she gets angry enough to wreak havoc and vengeance on anyone who pisses her off until she has the full control of her home and lands.
