Disaster movies are one of my guilty pleasures. They’re pretty much always rubbish. Even good ones like Independence Day are still cheesy and dumb, but I can always find something in them to be entertained by. What’s the story with Geostorm? One global storm?

Rotten Tomatoes didn't like it so it never had a chance.

Personally I turn trailers off when NYC starts getting destroyed. I'm still funny that way.

Also, I don't get Andy Garcia, never did. He's a mumbler. Mumblers shouldn't play the President.

I had the tinier GeoMetro. That thing was cute. Awesome on gas mileage since I was living and working in Seattle. And I could park it anywhere. Took one hit to get it smashed and be considered a total loss.

Imagine the weather disasters from day after tomorrow, combined with the space stuff from Armageddon, throw in a dog that survives when Millon's of people die, and add in the Gerard Butler seal of quality.

Well it seemed to be some kind of disaster movie involving weather too. They must be the new in thing.

Natural disasters, yeah. San Andreas (earthquake) was pretty good and now there’s that movie Rampage which is surely made by the same people and stars The Rock again featuring an accidentally embiggened gorilla.

Which isn't quite a natural disaster unless Godzilla sized gorillas occur in nature now...

From the trailer it looks like an accidental disaster, at least. There’s some kind of chemical the gorilla gets exposed to which makes it grow really big and also there’s a wolf with wings for some reason.

Its got Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson in it, so it can't be bad.

I'd watch it even if it was a 12 hour documentary of the The Rock throwing rocks.
