Getting a new dog

But on the downside, I've got to give away the two that came with the house.

They are good dogs, but they eat everything. And I mean everything. Cheyenne has eaten up two hoses, glass, any metal she finds, the wood from the shed. I've tried training them, but nothing, and I really want dogs I can play with, not ones that knock me off the back porch because they are so rough. I should have given them away when I moved in, but I thought I could handle them.

I feel really bad, but they are going to Operation Kindness, which is a no kill shelter.

As for the new one, it's a stray that has wound up living in my sister and hubby's garage. He's a big fucker, and I'm calling him Zeus. He's a german shepherd, husky type mix. He's domesticated already, and very mellow. Going to be a good house dog, which is what I wanted in the first place.

So, how horrible am I?? :(

No, you're not horrible. Sometimes these things just don't work out. Hopefully Operation Kindness will find a nice home for them.

They are a very good shelter, so I'm sure they will. But I'm stipulating that they not be seperated, because they are pretty close to one another, so that might make it a tad more difficult to find them a home.

Are Dogs that come with the house a new selling point in the home market?

I think there's some saying about not being able to teach old dogs to turn tricks.
