I am beyond excited that my all-time favorite team in my all-time favorite sport has gotten to the finals. The Phillies winning the pennant is sooo sweet right now, especially since I am surrounded by fans of "Los Dodyors".

I really feel like this is our year, I need all TK'ers (even if you know NOTHING about American baseball) to pull for the Phillies. We need some Phitin' Phils karma, Baby!

I'm 37, the last (and only) World Series win occurred when I was all of 9 years old. I promise you, if the Phillies win, I will weep like a baby!!

You should've been here. There was partying in the streets, people honking their horns 'till 2am, fireworks, and nearly everyone was cheering in one way or another.

I haven't seen this kind of sports enthusiasm since I left Italy. Even when the Eagles were in the super bowl a few years ago I never saw this kind of fanaticism.

I feel sorry for the Sox/Rays and their fans when they show up for the World Series here. They're going to be met with one of the most spiteful fan-bases America has to offer.

The only disappointing thing is that only three of the games will be played in Philly. This puts them at a large disadvantage.

It'll go like this. Away, away, home, home, home, away, away.

They need to win one of the first away games or this will turn out to be another disappointment for Philadelphia's sports franchises.

Agreed, the fucking All-Star game should NOT determine home field advantage. I'm pulling for the Rays to win, I know we can win at least one on the road there, and probably sweep at Citizens Bank Park. Although the Rays do hit a lot of home runs, and CBP is a home run hitter's park.

I wish I were there, not only would I be celebrating, I'd get tix to at least 2 of the three games. God, being there on game 6, when the won the World Series...what a rush that would be!

^^That's what I meant, I'd buy them on the secondary market. I figured the most I'd spend for good tix is 2 grand per game. Shit, if I can get tix on StubHub, I might take fly back for one game!
