Homme and Grohl doing a side project is one thing, but adding John Paul Jones!? WOW! This group encompasses two of my all-time favorite bands: Zeppelin and QOTSA. I'm not a Foo Fighters fan, but I do like Grohl. I think his musical talent was wasted on Nirvana, and I'm glad Kobain offed himself so that we could hear music like this. I meah, Grohl's no slouch. His Probot album was fantastic.

Example, that I use time and time again. You just need to remember that Dave wrote the music for all of the instruments in this song save the bass, which he let Lemmy write.

The Zeppelin influence can be clearly heard (Zep rocks btw). I never really got into QotSA, although I recognize that they are a talented band. I did like the Foo Fighters song Everlong.

I might pirate an album or two, and give it an honest chance in my car while I'm voom vooming around.

Foo Fighters are hit and miss for me (and I still hold a grudge that Pat Smear is gone) but if one of their songs are on the radio, I'll usually keep it there.
