Guys I just watched someone Die!

Unluckiest Charm in the Box
Usually when I come here I always come to be silly, but this is one on the few moments where I come not in jest, but instead in total shock. I'm typing this from work right now. On my way in about a half hour ago, I saw a horrible accident where someone driving what appeared to be a Chrysler Labaron lost control of their vehicle and slammed into a streetpole on the Dan Ryan expressway. The car immediately blew up into a huge fireball. A patrol car just happened to be passing by and immediately stopped. ( I mean from 55 mph to a dead screeching halt). The cop inside rushed over to the car and within munutes several other cop cars came and surrounded it. All of them were trying to get to the victims trapped inside, but the flames were too high for them to be able to do anything. The fire dept and ambulance were not there yet and all the cops could do was watch this car while the people inside all burned.

I'm sure that there will be something on Chicago 7 news very soon about this, but from what I saw, I'm pretty sure that there were no survivors :( :(

Geez...it's sucks to have to see something like that. It's an awful feeling, isn't it?

I remember when I was in high school and I was in a class that shadowed doctors at the hospital. I happened to be in the ER when they brought a man in that had a heart attack or stroke or something (can't remember)...he died while I was standing there. I was only 17 at the time, so that was really hard to deal with (it still would be, even at 21).

Sorry that happened to you, though.

That had to be weird. I don't think I've actually seen anyone die before and God willing, I never will. So much for me ever becoming a nurse. ;)
