Hambil threatens to use the TK database against us

If I was going to post people's ip address, or other private info, I'd have done so long ago. I'd do something with the TK database I still have for starters.

You realize what he can do with this? If he uploaded a backup and was still an admin when he saved it, he could probe it for whatever info he liked.

Even without admin status he'd have all the time in the world to crack a pass of someone who was an admin, thereby gaining access to everything on it. PMs, IPs, etc.

It's what I would do. I'm surprised he had the balls to post that.

Are you serious? No one other than the techies have any business downloading it.

Anyone who downloaded a database should have been fired immediately.
 
We were strapped for cash last Christmas, so we gave out database backups as gifts to the staff.

Nobody knows how to make magic with a cornsilk bow like missmanners.
 
Even if after weeks of pushing in random letters he manages to guess an admin password, so what ?

Will we find out so and so is a backstabbing, out for himself, traitor ? Yawn. This is TK. You can't throw a rock without hitting five of those.

Will he expose all your secret PMs? Yawn. I'll give you mine for free. Hell it was the current TK admins of the day that deleted and locked my account. I'd worry more about those.

Will he find out your IP address ? Yawn, so what. I'd be more worried about those sites you've trolled recently who have your ip address. Even at the height of PARA HATE over at Trekbbs I messed up and posted my IP address at the now defunct Trekbbs Comic site (it was auto listed in each post). Nothing ever came of it. The best you could do is out a dual. But if you're using a dual under your real IP address you probably don't care that much about it anyway. Maybe if you a static IP and no firewall some camputer savy geek might keep poking till he finds a hole. But if Hambil really is that savy I will personal sponsor a fund for a mass drive to his house to whoop his ass for not putting those "mad haxor skillz" to work destroying Trekbbs.
 
As a professional techie, Hambil can't even afford air conditioning. You do the math.

In reality, I think he was talking out his ass on the db thing... just trying to get a rise out of us. Whoopty.
 
LOL. I remember the Para game where you gave him a number and he posted the PM.

That was one of the best trolls at TK.

Considering Sardonica's subsequent reaction, to a bunch of old non-issue PMs being leaked, I would be prone to agree.
