I will watch "Trials and Tribble-lations" and "Flashback" to celebrate. Also the closing credits of ST:VI when all the autographs fly by.

I watched the new film again last night.

A pre-avengers team up for the Hulk and Thor.

Star Trek: Genrations has just finished on one of the digital channels.

The bit at the end has always made me laugh. One of these is in Picard's Ready Room

Kurlan naiskos - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki

When Picard finds it, in the episode The Chase, Picard bags on and on about how rare an intact one, what a honour it is to own one, blah blah blah.

At the end of Generations, Picard is searching through his Ready Room after the Enterprise has been ploughed into the earth, looking for his family album. He picks this up, and just throws it to one side without a moment's though.

NOT THAT MUCH OF A FUCKING RARITY, EH, JEAN-LUC?

(I feel better now. Happy birthday Star Trek!)

I thought when he did that it was a statement that he finally realised what was important in life, not dusty antiques, but family.

Of course if he had realised that before most of them died horribly, it probably would have meant more.

Still its not like he had the ability to leave the nexus at any point in time and space and could easily have prevented the fire at his brothers house, stopped Soran from blowing up any stars, saved all the people on the argossa station and stopped the enterprise from being destroyed, and all with the added bonus of Kirk still being alive, is it?

MAYBE it was a replicated DUPLICATE and he kept the real one somewhere safe, like in on Earth in his brother's house... Hmm.

WHOA THERE, SPOILER TAGS?!?!

Hell he could have gone back to season 2 and rethought mouthing off to Q, prompting Q to introduce the Alpha Quadrant to the Borg decades before they would have learned of them. WOLF 359 OOPSIE!

That was a Volitans Lionfish, Pterois volitans. It's name was never mentioned in the series, but the crew members called it Livingston.
