BERLIN (Reuters) - Harrison Ford is ready to jump back into his favorite film role and begin shooting the fourth Indiana Jones movie soon, a German magazine quoted the Hollywood actor as saying on Wednesday.

Steven Spielberg and I now have a script in hand that we both like. I believe that we can start with the filming soon," Ford was quoted as saying in an interview with German lifestyle and entertainment magazine Fit for Fun.

The third and last Indy film, 1989 hit "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," starred Ford as the whip-swinging archaeologist and Sean Connery as his bumbling father.

Ford, 63, was quoted as saying that he needed "to do a little practicing with the whip" to avoid injuries. <end>

I can't wait to see what the title will be: Indiana Jones and the search for more Geratol :D

How popular are those films in germany considering how many germans he kills in the first and third movies?

Sorry, but Harrison Ford at 63 still ooozes more sex appeal than most men. That's just the way it is... :D

Of course, you could do a much better job playing Indiana Jones than Harrison Ford, huh, starguard?

Idiot.

Ugh, after like a DECADE of hearing this, he finally decides to do it. Spielberg and Lucas couldn't decide on a script after all that time. I guess now they have. I love Indiana Jones films. The last one was the best. I guess, considering his age, the fourth movie will be called "Indiana Jones, and the Golden Walker"? I say, find a new and younger Indy, like Viggo, or even that guy on the History Channel that dresses like Indy in search of old ruins and stuff.

I dunno. Burt Lancaster was 73 when he made Tough Guys, and he was in a hell of lot better shape than most 40-year-olds.

If Ford gets into great shape, I see no reason why a 60-year-old man can't be an action hero.

Fuck, most of you bought Patrick Stewart in First Contact, and he was 56.

Harrison Ford is the quintessential cinematic Alpha Male...strong, masculine, and sexy as hell.

He'd hold the same traits at 70, IMHO...
