Its just a number spamming up my post box.
 
No, if you click on the [check] link to the right of the credit number at the top right of the page, it will take you to your banking page. There should be a bar on the top that looks something like this:

Checking: 2,350 Credits | Savings: XXX Credits | Rating: XXX​

What's the number by "Rating"?

Yeah, although, my credit score - even though it's through the roof - doesn't change the interest I pay or the percentage I lose when my savings account matures.

I'd guess my credit score is at zero. I've given large sums of credits away on several occasions. It's just spam mucking up the info pane next to all of our posts.
 
Yeah, but it's fun to max out everything about it.
 
I'd like to pay a certain amount of credits to remove the credits stat from under my user name.
