I usually have encoded Divx versions of my movies on the HDD if I'm going to be usuing them for editing. Sony Vegas (the editing solution I use) also has VOB and MPEG2 support so it's easy to use DVD Decrypter to rip a DVD and use the VOB's directly. Though I prefer to have Divx/Xvid rips of the movie/file for speed and performance reasons (Vegas can be slow dealing with VOB's)also how do you rip bits of DVDs to use, and how come the copyright peeps dont come after you?
