Heroes 1x09-big problems with this episode

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
I have a BIG problem with this episode.

First of all, it was pretty transparent that Peter would "die", then absorb Claire's powers to regenerate. Anyone who's ever read comics could figure that out.

Second, and more troubling, was the "showdown" between Sylar and Peter.

Peter knows that he absorbs the powers of others. He explicitly said so in the Diner scene with Ando. So why didn't he absorb Sylar's powers and use them against him? When he saw Sylar use telekenesis, he should have used it against him. BIG plot hole, IMHO.

Nah, it wasn't a plot hole. If you watch it Sylar throws a bunch of locker doors at him. He didn't have time to react. It's not as though Peter is adept with using his powers. If anything he's confused by it.

It wasn't a plot hole because it wasn't a mistake. Though I agree that I did see the regeneration coming a mile off.

Still this episode is an A for me. This show is total ownage.

Oh, I will mention that Jessica letting that sniper bullet off in DL's direction at the very end is kinda transparant (PUN INTENDED).

I will see if I was right shortly. Surely DL will just phase through it?

That final bit in the forest with the mind-probing duo and Sylar was the most interesting part though. Seemed a bit too... unruffled.

But the show was due for another plot enema, mid-season and all. So go for it!

That, and Peter fully expected to die as per Isaac's painting. He wasn't there to fight; he was there to win. (Save the cheerleader.)

I'd also say that peter has to know about a person's abilities ahead of time to know how to use them. If he wasn't sure what Sylar's powers were he had only a short time to figure them out.
