I had loads of work to do, but I managed to catch Heroes at uni. A friend of mine watched it before me and kept repeating to everyone that it was "SHIT!" and "a waste of my hour!", so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out quite interesting. Sure, there weren't any explosions and the episode did have that really weird feeling that you can't quite put your finger on, but we still learnt more than you would in a month's worth of Lost eps.
I felt the same the same way about some of the character's stupid decisions, but I suppose they don't know everything we do. Peter really should've got out of NY, but he painted that picture of Ted exploding, so he probably figures he's the only one besides Claire(and Sylar!) who could do something. Peter can't be sure that he's the one who'll explode. And neither can we.
The other slightly annoying thing was Hiro not killing Sylar when he had two perfect chances, but he's a kind soul, so you can understand why he couldn't go through with it. I liked it when he was about to kill Sylar and he lost control of his powers, but now everyone thinks Sylar can stop Hiro's power, which just isn't true.
Oh, there was one LOL moment in this ep, but I'm not sure if it would make sense over the pond. The painting of Micah between the burning buildings made him look like a gollywog from Enid Blyton books. I'll post a comparison later to show you what I mean.
