Wow.. most of the episode was great, some of it was a little bit of a let down, like the fight between Peter and Sylar. I thought that would be much more epic, instead it was just kinda meh.

Is Sylar dead or not? That was a little confusing at the end, with the manhole cover.

I wonder what the next villain will be like.. Molly mentioned someone she's scared to locate because he can see her when she tries.

I think Molly will be one of the main characters next season, since Mohinder has taken her under his protection. Kinda looks like Micah will be too. And Hiro, I HOPE!! (glad Ando didn't die!)

They didn't really ramp it up much did they? And that whole "Brother flies in to save the day" was weak as hell, especially since Peter could fly his own damn self. If that was all it took, why didn't his stupid ass take a nice long space jaunt on his own?

The Sylar thing is a cliffhanger, he's either alive and wounded or somebody drug him off. You'd think somebody was watching the body a little better than that with all them powers, hell I'd have shot him a few extra times just to be sure.

The segue into ancient Japan was weak as hell too. Anybody else catch a "quantum leap" vibe from that? I kept waiting for Hiro to say "Oh boy." and end the show...

I've shouted "fly, you IDIOT" at the screen everytime Peter's started glowing, but I guess his loss of control means he can't fly when he's in that state.

Anyway, I really, really enjoyed this episode, but that may be because me and my friends took over the university's largest lecture theatre to watch it. Everytime anything remotely cool happened we whooped and clapped.

I'm guessing Nathan flew off at the last second before the explosion, so he lived. And Sylar must've snuck away when Peter nuked out, though it's still silly that he's alive after all this. The cockroach really symbolised who he is, living through a nuclear explosion, getting shot, stabbed, smacked in the face with a large map and taking a sucker punch with a ticket machine to the gut. I wish Hiro would finish the job for once.

The new villiain was nicely set up. Sounded like Sauron. Should be scarier than Sylar, though there's the possibility that we already know him or her(Angela?).

Still there are some unanswered questions:

What's the deal with Jessica and Nikki?

What the hell was Mr.Devaux's power? We thought he gave Peter visions, but now his power seems quite different.

What's Angela's power?

Did Simone have a power? What about Ando?

Why did Isaac's painting of Micah show the boy looking out over a burning New York? Why did Peter's drawings also show this?

I still think Isaac's precognitive paintings are fullproof, but maybe they're open to interpretation.

Oh, the only thing I didn't like about this episode was all that soppyness. Why do American shows always have to have men going "I love you, dad" or something similar? Bleh.

Because we want our men to be sensitive dammit!

I was expecting more of a throwdown between Sylar & Peter as well, so I too was a bit disappointed.

As for Sylar's fate...I think he's dead, but someone under the sewers dragged him off. Perhaps the one that Molly mentioned who can sense when she's "looking" at him. Sylar's eyes turned white at the end, and showed a vision of his own death, that he must not have gotten to.

Nikki/Jessica....I'm totally blanking on who's who (headache) but I think that they worked together, instead of fighting against each other, thus allowing Nikki (the good one?) to control their strength. When the shapeshifter was beating up on N/J, Jessica told Nikki that that wasn't her, and only she had the power to stop the imposter.

Now, though, does Peter have D's, Micah and Nikki's power since they were all in the same area? Loved when Niki bashed Sylar's head in.

Best line: "You can call me Noah."

Who thinks Ando is the lone rider up against the army in Kyoto?

OH yeah, I forgot about him finally saying his first name.

Nikki is the good one.. well now I guess Jessica might be good too. I wonder if they'll be back next season.

Kick ass episode though I think it could of been better still. I also wasn't really geeked out too much with the Chapter Two teaser.

Parkman is alive it would seem. I thought he was done for when he got "Matrix Bullet Timed" by Sylar.

And leaving the Sylar thread hanging at the end makes me think he is still alive as well. I really hope Nathan isn't dead since I think he's an excellent character and it would be a shame to lose him though with so many false deaths his one "might take."

Molly is more powerful than just locating people and I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who picked up the obvious foreshadowing about the next Big Bad. I also contemplated if it was someone we have already seen on the show but either way it's going ot be interesting.

Punching Sylar a few times was highly anti-climatic and the whole choreography with everyone running out and hitting Sylar or getting hit by Sylar both was a bit hokey and reminded me of multiple run-ins on WWE though thankfully with less of Vince's ass on display.

There seems to be a truce going on between them at the moment. I'm not really sure what's going on there either.

What the hell was Mr.Devaux's power? We thought he gave Peter visions, but now his power seems quite different.

He seems to have been a major player and I expect his power/s were quite formidable. I expect that the "old heroes" will have a lot to do with what's going to happen in Season 2 and I expect we will learn a lot more about the dynamics of what exactly Sulu, Devaux, Linderman and Angela were doing for all these years.

What's Angela's power?

I'm sure she has one but it hasn't been revealed yet.

Did Simone have a power? What about Ando?

With what we know about family genetic inheritance taking a part in the powers it's likely that Simone could of had a power.

I still don't think Ando has a power. His "power" is human is every way but no less powerful because of it la-dee-da-de-da... etc..

Anyone want any.gifs?!

YEs! I have to agree with most of what's been said so far, anticlimactic battle of Sylar vs. Peter, nonsensical, "Just fly up you ninny" shouting at Peter, and the volume two teaser being more of a WTF? sorta situation.

My thought on the Sylar into the sewer bit - the new baddy may have pulled Sylar down to the sewer in an attempt to steal Sylar's power via the brain eating (or any other) mechanism. We'll see, but not anytime soon. When is the new season due, anyway?

I hope the new season starts in the fall.. and then when it goes on the winter hiatus the Heroes: Origins will run. THAT'S WHAT i HOPE FOR ANYWAY.
