Anybody reading up on this common ingredient in most of our foods? It's in practically everything, and there is mounting evidence that HFCS can be linked to a number of recent health epidemics including the obesity and diabetes rate. Some even say Cirrhosis rates might be linked to the cheap food additive that was introduced in the mid-seventies. Others allege that HFCS prevents the brain from releasing the "I'm full" endorphin and causes overeating.
HFCS production is a multi billion dollar industry controled by fewer than half a dozen companies. Is there reason to believe they might want to keep it around?
