Hmmmm... this very busy week in the news

Forever Empress E
and not a word here about Obama or Clinton. Disappointing - especially from the "I hate everyone equally" crowd. Fairness my ass.

Obama related to Bush, Churchill: US researchers

...also revealing Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's ties to pop icon Madonna and Beat generation writer Jack Kerouac.

And while Obama and Hollywood heartthrob Bard Pitt are ninth cousins... Clinton is a ninth cousin twice removed of Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie...

Clinton is meanwhile also related to a number of celebrities with French Canadian ancestry, including singers Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette.

Other ties established by the genealogical society linked Obama to former presidents Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson and Harry Truman, and to Civil War General Robert Lee.

It's something, right?

That's because the airways are being swamped with just tons of good news regarding the fantastic Bush economy.

I'm glad Bush believes in family values, because according to the employment analysts, a whole lot more people are spending time at home with them.

The problem is that we live on an oil-based economy, and the price of it is skyrocketing in comparison to everything but gold.

EVERYTHING depends on oil, since everything needs oil to deliver it.

That's why no one cares that we're intervening in the Middle-east, since we need their oil, and will "suck their dick for it, man!"

Trouble is, that's what's MAKING the oil expensive-- as with ANY addiction.

Meanwhile we got plenty of reserves, but our government is making us "save it for a rainy day."

Likewise, the oil-companies are getting paid NOT to drill-- just like farmers were paid not to grow food.

In addition, they get subsidies for what they DO produce; the president of Shell says it's "the same as any manufacturer--" but not many other manufacturers are among the top 10 world economies, to the point where they can buy Washington D.C. like Big Oil does.

Simply put, the oil is hitting the fan; but no one wants to say anything about it-- they don't want to step on the biggest toes in the room.

Even the web is rife with right-wing blowjobs who are afraid to attack Big Oil, since they're afraid of sounding "non-libertarian--" as if there's anything free-market about the oil-industry.

Well, duh. Ya think?

I've been over that same argument with some of the "conservative" nutjobs on this site. While most have come to realize what kind of whacko Bush and his minions are, most still maintain that what the oil companies are doing is fair corporate business and they're entitled to any and all profit they can make, regardless.

What they don't seem to understand is oil controls the market. When they gouge the consumer, you can bet they also gouge other corporations and businesses. That in turn drives consumer goods up.

The conservatives have an "I've got mine" attitude and are pretty free spenders with other peoples money. And it's doomed this country both financially and economically. But hey, they'll blame Clinton or, when we do hit a full blown recession, they'll blame the next sitting President for it.

And on a high note for all those forward thinking conservatives, workers’ pink slips stacked up in March as employers slashed 80,000 jobs, the most in five years, and the national unemployment rate climbed to 5.1 percent. Job losses are nearing a quarter-million in just the first three months of this year.

Way to go fucknuts!
