Stop and think for a moment; if something like this had happened to you or your family, trying to get something as basic as shelter over your head: how would you feel?

Those might be the more extreme stories, but there is plently of evidence to support them. If the English 'cleansed' the North American plains of the Indians in order to make way for a 'better' group of people, I don't see why it might be unfathomable for the modern Israelis to have done the same.
