It's cool because that's the kind of thing you could imagine the Hurley character doing. They could use that footage in the show and have Hurley all "okay, dude, I went on a gameshow."

I love the idea of a gameshow where people are actually dropped through a hole in the ground. In fact, all gameshows should have a trapdoor mechanism.
