Somehow I don't think you're going to be asked anymore.

What you should have done is accepted, had a look around, then made an educated determination on whether or not you wanted to be involved.

That's what a smart person would have done.
 
You're probably right but like I said: I'm not much of a joiner. TKR could be the best thing since sliced bread and I stil woudln't feel the need. I'm actually drawing back, not spreading out, my internet interests.

The problem is you aren't speaking from a position of knowledge. Of knowing. Of having been there and made an educated determination that you don't want to be involved.

You should have signed up then decided to quit. That way you'd be speaking from a position of experience.

Rather than speculation.
