i am re-watching the LOTR trilogy again

Just finished Fellowship for the second time, gearing up for Two Towers shortly. For the extended editions being so long, it really doesn't seem so long whilst viewing. This trilogy is sooooo much better than the shitty Star Wars prequels that came out around the same time. Peter Jackson needs to teach George Lucas how to make a fuckin' trilogy the RIGHT WAY!

I found the first one too slow and plodding, so I didn't really care about the characters(who just mumble all the time!), but it did look amazing. The other two were better since they had the massive battles, although in a way those went on too long as well.

Shut up Henoch.

Thanks for reminding me, I keep forgetting to downl--buy them legally.

The movies rule except for when Jackson substituted Tolkien's great dialogue for action movie drivel.

"If you want him, COME AND CLAIM HIM!"

Arwen Evenstar would never fuckdamn say that.

The constant cameo appearances by Chris Rock as Bruthanor didn't exactly add to the proceedings, either.

Great movies. Epic in every sense of the word and probably one of the best cast series of movies ever.

Not perfect and Orlando Bloom will NEVER be able to act and Gimli should not have been used as lame comedy relief but all in all worthy of the extreme praise they got.

Also, you can buy the 4 disk Extended editions of each movie for cheap-o now and it's worth it for the ten billion hours of extras.

i haven't watched the extras yet.:)

Probably the best extras ever committed to DVD.

You get to see every aspect of what went into pre-production production and post-production.

The extras alone are a mammoth feat.

It will take you a week to get through them all and probably longer..

And you get to listen to the angelic voice of Richard Taylor.
