I can't get my space heater to light

No, it's a gas heater.

Propane is gas! But yours is probably natural gas, which is similar. When I lived in OK we had natural gas piped to the house, but now that i live in the sticks I have propane delivered. My space heater is hard to light too.. I have to hold down the clicker thing for a long time.

^LoL...yeah, it's natural gas. Duh Tisi!!! <g> See, I'm freezing my brain cells.

And I keep on holding the clicker down, but then I choke on the gas. IT'S A NEVER-ENDING CYCLE!!!

And on top of that, I've got a dead rat in my kitchen, but we haven't been able to find him and now my house smells like Rainforest Rat with some Arm & Hammer spray mixed in.

Have you tried lighting it with a match? And dead rat smell is icky.. last year a rat got in my gran's house and died.
