In both the original Mamma Mia! film and its sequel, which debuts this Friday, Baranski pulls off some seriously impressive high kicks. As Baranski told Meyers, that move comes courtesy of her “one good leg,” as she smashed the kneecap on her other one while prepping for a musical. (As Meyers quipped, “They say all you really need in Hollywood is one good leg.”) Apparently, Baranski’s flexibility impressed even the Queen of Comebacks, who made sure to say so during the premiere.
“[Cher] was across the room,” Baranski recalled, “and I had my favorite Cher moment. It was just mine alone. She actually, across the [premiere party], she went, ‘Hey, you high-kicking bitch!’”
