I've been doing this and that Wordforge. I've pointed out a lot of the bullshit the staff does. The mere idea that a staff silently deletes new registrants would put most posters of a board who wish to see it expand up in arms, yet we see something very different. Apathy.

I think you people will never leave Wordforge, or make any real noise about it other than your kiddish bitching here. You are so ready to tear down the corrupt order, yet risking your accounts en masse is too enormous a price to pay.

I think you're merely participating in a 'cool' and iconoclastic group activity, and that using this forum to express minor qualms is cowardly, and that your invitation here should be revoked.

I really can't disagree with your assessment. Last night I was poised to post my [Wordforge] Declaration of Independence but the whole "dissolves all relationships with Wordforge" (or whatever it said) gave me pause.

Oh, I don't actually post there anymore, but my account lets me see what is going on in the Gray Room. And if/when I stand up Wordforge 2.0 it will be handy to be able to tell WFers about it. :shrug:

There are still a few good posts I'm following over there, I'll admit.

Mostly, the reason I still post there (with about ten posts in the last week, rather than my usual minimum of about twenty per day) is the people there. I like some of the folks that I know will never post here. And I can't speak for Volpone, but I'm sure his feelings are a lot stronger, seeing that he was there on the board from the beginning.

That being said, I do have my own board, but I'll admit the task of building a membership is a bit much for me to do on my own. I wouldn't know where to start. If there was another option besides WF and here (with all respect, this just isn't the place for me) and TBBS (Which I don't hate, but I'd have to censor myself too much to enjoy anymore) and Stascape (I love J, but it's a bit too quiet and lovey-dovey, and I'm not that much into Star Trek to discuss it at more than one place), I'd gladly jump at it. And I'd love for someone who wants to take this chance to help build nuForge and shut the usual suspect harpies up about the lot of you being whiners that don't plan on doing anything. Because let's face it--talk's cheap.

And to put it another way "shit or get off the pot."the Old Skool Forgers proved Lisa and other naysayers wrong when places like this and WF opened up and thrived. When you've done what people say is impossible, they at least have to have some respect for that.

I don't condone the snotty attitudes. But continuing to discuss how WF could be fixed, especially when no one is listening anymore, just seems futile. And I've seen a lot of good ideas from Volpone and Gul especially. I think it's time to actually put theory to the test.

That, and there is also the reality that between intolerable and peachy keen lies a rather large field. If Volpone starts a board, I'll post there, I'll try to help out, but if nobody goes there, it won't really satisfy my on-line needs. Wordforge still gives me something. This idea trotted out by Cass (and now Tyrant) that we must love it 100% or leave it, is rather ridiculous, and I'd add quite childish.

I haven't logged in in a long time. I mainly just lurk to see what is being said about us troublemakers that left. There are some posters that I miss interacting with, but it's not worth putting up with the b.s. just to do so.

I've been disillusioned with WF before, but this last round was the last straw. If Elwood is so out of touch with the board that he didn't realize how much grief his staff was causing him, then something needs to change at the top.

I'm pretty much done with Wordforge, I've gone from five or so posts a day to twenty five in the last month. I'll probably be keeping my account instead of asking for it to be deleted because even though just browsing over there has become tiresome I'd like to still have it to be able to peek into the Gray Room every so often and on the off chance that one day Elwood sells to someone not in Eliteforge and the board goes back to the way it used to be.
