I just installed the IE7 Beta

Its moving a lot quicker than IE6, and I'm really liking what I see so far. Only issue I've had so far is that the Beta Google toolbar I was basicaly putting up features that were redundant; IE7 automatically put a goggle search box on the toolbar when it imported my start page from IE6. I also disabled my shell skin for IE, because IE7's integrated shell skin didn't mesh well with the colores and box styles I was using. Other than that, the installation was painless, and I feel like I'm using a IE/Firefox hybrid.

How big is the filesize? I hope MS have cut down on the sheer bulk of IE for 7.

I will be checking it out soon as I have a chance all the same.

11 megs. This is only the 2nd relase Beta Preview though, You can use it for 30 days after the next Beta comes out, or the final release comes out. then you have to install the next version, be it Beta or final version) Knowing Microsoft like I do, you can bet there will still be at least one more beta between now and this fall when Vista purpotedly ships.

11mb is still five times smaller than IE6.

I'm glad. I knew they had to do it this way, MS are really going full force into the next gen and are going to own, they are doing very well at the moment IMO.

Vista will be final by the end of summer I imagine, we won't get it until around September though.

i wil definitley check 7 out though, beta or not it's probably better than 6.

I came close to installing WD last night. That whole OneCare concept sounds pretty smart, thoough a lot of people aren't going to be happy if its integrated into Vista. As for Office 2007? I WANT IT! NOW! :D

When is IE7 supposed to be released? I'm looking forward to a new browser. IE6 has been around for FAR too long.

Office 2007 rocks the stony poop nuggets out of the bunghole of the Venus De Milo. That's how much Office 2007 rocks.
