OK. I don't have the link, but y'all probably saw it. Friday or Saturday or so some 13 year old girl lost both her feet in a freak rollercoaster accident.

One of the things I dreaded during the war was that we'd drive over a mine and I'd lose my legs. And it makes me feel a bit guilty when I see the young men and women that DID lose their legs, but still...

If you're in the military that's part of the job--there's a real risk that you'll be killed or horribly crippled. But damn, when you're a 13 year old girl, off to spend a day at an amusement park...it ain't right.

I actually cringed when I read this story the other day. Tragedy is the only way to sum it up. There sure are a lot to go around though.
