very shortly JJ Abrams is going to be chatting to Neil Gaman on newsnight about the current state of sci fi.
 
I was telling headvoid about this book of his the other day (there was another interview with Abrams on R4). Even with his jaded industry outlook, as a member of the cognoscenti, he was shocked and appalled.

Actually quite an interesting interview, though. I like his comparison between sound and visual effects.
