I saw many films this week

Boobie inspector
Shazaam. Pretty good, a DC film you dont feel like slitting your wrists afterwards.

Downsizing, good concept, felt like they didn't know how to end it.

Pineapple express, Seth Rogen comedy, if you like him you'll like it.

Also watched all 8 episodes of the boys, highly recommended.
 
I wasn’t overly struck by The Boys trailer, but if it’s got Karl Urban I’ll watch it.

I saw The Lion King today. Excellent cgi and it does add some extra depth to the characters, but overall the lack of fluidity the original had sucks a lot of the fun out of it. The animals stick so closely to what is physically possible, they barely even lip sync to the song lyrics. Worth a watch, but it was more a curiosity than anything.
 
I watched the first episode. Pegg seems to be doing Martin Freeman's accent from Fargo. Show is pretty good though.
 
The original Dumbo is really sad, just an hour and a half of a baby elephant being abused then a minute of him being happy at the end.
 
Well
The theater I go to is one of those old timey places where there are cool balcony seats and the movies are around $10. The popcorn is tasty and someone gets up before the movie and shares fun facts.
So.......those are kind of fun.
Otherwise I drive 40 miles to catch the movie in the next town for normal pricing and cushy seats and juice smoothies. I reserve those for the better movies I guess.
 
The multiplex I go to around here has stuffed recliner seats, and the snack bar sells personal pizzas to order plus wine, beer and cocktails.
 
I wouldn't want to be sitting next to some noisy eater sucking down a whole pizza while I'm trying to watch a movie.
