Jean mind rapes Bobby and forces him to admit he's gay, and then says that bi people don't exist, and for some reason past Iceman is gay but current Iceman isn't gay because gay is something you become or just flip on and off?
 
oh and the fucking "maybe future Bobby couldn't deal with being both gay and a mutant so he just shut the gay off, as you do" justification.

and of course this is an alternate Bobby, not the real one.

Maybe in the original timeline Professor Xavier "corrected" Bobby and made him straight. Maybe Xavier hating gays is the real story here.
 
And also Wanda said "no more bisexuals" at some point and Jean knows it and that's why she's all "lol bisexuals don't exist"
 
Bendis is answering questions about it on tumblr. He seemed to settle on "Jean is a teenager and doesn't get bisexuals" at one point. BENDIS!
 
Details, details...the point is, there is another pretty, young, slender gay man in the world. AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.
 
I was wondering if he could get someone pregnant while in his ice form, but I guess that's out the window.
 
Chris Claremont wanted Mystique to actually be Nightcrawler's father (she'd impregnate her girlfriend while shapeshifted into male form) originally. That has nothing to do with anything.
 
Given how first class had a red version of Nightcrawler, I would have thought he would be the dad and Mystique the mother.
